Informative Visit of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency Team to “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, Regarding Monitoring Processes and Post-Accreditation Procedures
As part of a series of informative visits to all higher education institutions in the Republic of Kosovo, aimed at presenting the new Regulation no. 04/2025 on Monitoring and Post-Accreditation Procedures, a team from the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA) — from the Division for Monitoring and the Division for Post-Accreditation Procedures — visited “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova.
The KAA team was welcomed by the Rector of “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, who, in his opening remarks, thanked the KAA team for this initiative and emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the Agency and higher education institutions in the country.
Also present at the meeting were the Deans and Vice Deans of the university’s academic units, the Acting Secretary General, the Central Commission for Quality Assurance, the representative of the Office for Quality Assurance, the Faculty Quality Assurance Committees, and student representatives.
The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the understanding of the quality assurance actors within the University and its academic units regarding the monitoring and post-accreditation visit processes, in accordance with the new KAA regulation.
During the meeting, Ms. Shpresa Shala, Head of the Division for Monitoring, presented in detail the procedures followed within the monitoring process, explaining the different types of monitoring foreseen by the new regulation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Milot Hasangjekaj, Head of the Division for Post-Accreditation Procedures, introduced the process and steps involved in conducting post-accreditation visits, clarifying all aspects related to the practical implementation of the regulation.
During the visit, KAA officials distributed an informative poster for students, highlighting the importance of their role in quality assurance and encouraging them to be active participants in internal quality assurance processes. The poster will be displayed in areas frequently visited by students within the University.
The meeting was open for discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and engage in various conversations.
The visit of the KAA team was warmly welcomed by “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova as an opportunity to raise institutional awareness about the importance of the new regulation and to strengthen preparations for its implementation, with the goal of improving quality and ensuring sustainable institutional development.
The Agency representatives also expressed their readiness for continued cooperation with the University in addressing any uncertainties that may arise during the implementation of the regulation.
Such collaborations contribute to enhancing the culture of quality and awareness among university staff, reinforcing the commitment of “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova to achieving the highest standards of quality in higher education.
