Prof. ass. dr. Petrit Duraj serves as Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality Enhancement at the "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova, and is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philology.

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Albanian Language and Literature at the University of Prishtina, followed by a Master's degree in Linguistics (Contemporary Linguistics) at the University of Tirana. He obtained his PhD in Philological Sciences, specializing in Albanian Language and Literature, from South East European University. In addition, he has completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently completing a Bachelor's degree in English Language.

He began his academic career in 2014 at the "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova, where he initially served as a Teaching Assistant. Since 2023, he has held the academic title of Assistant Professor. Throughout his university career, he has delivered lectures and conducted practical classes in various linguistics courses at both the bachelor's and master's levels. He has also served as a lecturer and teaching assistant at the University of Prizren.

His scientific activity includes publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals indexed in prestigious databases, as well as active participation in national and international scientific conferences. His research interests include Albanian syntax and morphology, comparative linguistics, orthography, language didactics, communication, and the impact of contemporary technologies on linguistics.

In addition to his teaching and research activities, Assistant Professor Dr. Petrit Duraj has made significant contributions to quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional development processes, serving as both a member and chair of various university committees. In his current role as Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality Enhancement, he leads initiatives related to the development of academic policies, quality assurance, accreditation, study programme development, and the advancement of higher education standards at the "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova.
