Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences Organize an Event in Honor of World Social Workday

Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences organized an event in honor of World Social Workday. In the opening remarks, the Chairwoman of the Governing Council, Ms. Majlinda Haxhikadrija Ramadani, spoke about the role and importance of the Faculty of Social Sciences, while the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, emphasized the mission of social work and the contribution of social workers during global challenges.
The event was attended by Ms. Jozefina Osmani, Head of the Center for Social Work in Gjakova, and Ms. Fllanza Bakija Lama, Secretary at the Red Cross in Gjakova. They shared their professional experiences and spoke about the importance of the social work profession in practice, cooperation with the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the mission of social work.
During the event, a summary of the activities organized over the years by the Faculty of Social Sciences for this day was presented by student Era Sylmetaj, highlighting the faculty’s continuous engagement in this field. The entire event was moderated by student Blerina Rrustemi.
A special part of the event was the “Tree of Memories,” where each participant wrote their name as a symbolic remembrance of the day. This made the event more meaningful and reminded everyone of the importance of the social work profession in everyday life.
This event was organized by students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, namely: Elda Gacaferri, Amrbona Lajqi, Zana Zherka, Altrina Halilaj, Erjon Pozhegu, and Edon Hajdari.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to individuals who have contributed to and collaborated in advancing the faculty, making the closing even more meaningful. Certificates were awarded to: Jozefina Osmani, Fllanza Bakija Lama, Majlinda Haxhikadrija Ramadani, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Sherif Sejdiu, and the outstanding student Nora Morina.
