The Faculty of Social Sciences, in cooperation with the PTC Center – Center for Psychosocial Training and Children’s Creativity in Albania, organized a training session for academic staff on the topic “The Lecturer as a Figure of Psychological and Social Influence on Students.”

The training was led by Ms. Fabiola Elezaj, Director of the PTC Center – Center for Psychosocial Training and Children’s Creativity in Albania. The activity aimed to strengthen and advance the professional capacities of academic staff, including lecturers and teaching assistants, with a particular focus on the lecturer–student relationship and the psychological and social impact this relationship has on the educational process.

During the training, several topics of importance for the development of contemporary practices in higher education were addressed, including: the philosophical concept of the university, the role of the lecturer in relation to students, contemporary teaching methodologies, the transformation of the lecturer’s role from the past to the present, the psychological and social impact of lecturers on students, as well as the principles of a lecturer with a positive influence.

An important part of the activity was dedicated to interactive discussions and the analysis of case studies, providing opportunities for the exchange of experiences and reflection on everyday practices in working with students. The training was conducted in a collaborative and interactive environment and contributed to further strengthening the professional capacities of the academic staff.

This activity is part of the strategic plan of the Faculty of Social Sciences for the continuous development of academic staff capacities, as well as part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), with the aim of continuously improving the quality of teaching and the professional development of academic staff.

Through such activities, the Faculty of Social Sciences remains committed to continuously advancing the quality of the teaching and learning process and strengthening a contemporary, professional, and student-centered approach.
