Representatives from University “Fehmi Agani” Participate in Micro-Credential Course Training within the WB EDU4MIGRATION Project

The Rector of University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, Prof. Ass. Dr. Drilon Bunjaku, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Ass. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, and university professor Prof. Dr. Behxhet Gaxhiqi participated in a two-day training held at AAB College concerning micro-credential courses within WP4 of the WB EDU4MIGRATION project.

During the two-day training, the following topics were discussed: defining micro-credential courses in the context of modern education, exploring the key characteristics and core components of micro-credentials that help understand how these small educational units can offer great value in developing specific competencies, examining micro-credential course models that demonstrate the diversity of approaches that can be applied in practice, evaluating the online course developed within the PAgES project for building capacity in cross-media journalism education, as well as an analytical overview of the CLIP project – critical visual media literacy and empowerment, funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme.

As a result of this training, project partners will begin the development and piloting of micro-credential courses/subjects based on the standards and recommendations of the European Union for the field of modern education.

The project is funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ programme in Kosovo and includes a partnership among Colleges, Institutes, and Universities from Kosovo, Albania, Denmark, Italy, and Austria. This project involves institutions such as: AAB College, International Business College Mitrovica, University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, Institute for Research, Education, and Social Development, University of Tirana, University of Barleti, LOGOS University College, Institute of Romani Culture in Albania, UCL University College, Fachhochschule Salzburg, and IULM University.
