The Faculty of Social Sciences at “Fehmi Agani” University in Gjakova and the NGO “Ia vlen të jetosh” have formalized their partnership through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement focused on social awareness, public health, and the empowerment and support of women, with particular emphasis on breast cancer awareness.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, and the Executive Director of the NGO “Ia vlen të jetosh,” Ms. Valbona Kastrati. The collaboration aims to connect academic expertise with the concrete needs of society by engaging students and academic staff in awareness-raising activities, social research, training, and professional internships.

As part of the agreement, joint initiatives will be organized, including awareness campaigns, open lectures, seminars, and the active involvement of students in social projects and practical placements within the NGO. The coordination of this cooperation was carried out by the student Elda Gacaferri, as part of her active student engagement and contribution to strengthening university–civil society collaboration.

Both parties highlighted this cooperation as a meaningful step toward reinforcing the role of higher education institutions, students, and civil society in promoting health, solidarity, and social responsibility within the wider community.
