Gjakova, March 2, 2026

The Faculty of Social Sciences has formalized today a cooperation agreement with the NGO “CONCORDIA Social Projects,” marking an important step toward strengthening the connection between higher education and professional practice in the field of social work.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ass. Dr. Ferdi Kamberi, and the Executive Director of the organization, Mirela Carmen Lavric. This partnership aims to deepen institutional cooperation through the development of joint projects, the exchange of professional experiences, and the active engagement of students in processes directly related to the realities of social services.

The main focus of this agreement is the advancement of professional practice for students of social work programs, providing them with opportunities for direct involvement in community activities and services. Through this collaboration, students will be able to develop practical competencies, gain field experience, and strengthen the connection between theory and practice.

This cooperation represents the continuation of the commitment of the management, academic staff, and students to improving the quality of studies, expanding local and international partnerships, and fulfilling the faculty’s strategic objectives for the 2023–2026 period, including the implementation of institutional recommendations aimed at quality enhancement.

The realization of this agreement was made possible through the coordination of student Blerina Lala, demonstrating the active role of students in promoting collaborations that directly contribute to professional and institutional development.
