UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union, the coordinator of the COMMO consortium (Cooperation in the Mediterranean and Western Balkans through Mobility of Students and Staff), has launched a call for mobility opportunities for study purposes within the framework of the COMMO IX project under the ERASMUS+ KA171 Programme.

The COMMO project aims to contribute to the enhancement of the international dimension of higher education institutions by promoting mobility experiences between Italian universities that are part of the COMMO consortium and institutions in Southern Mediterranean countries, the Western Balkans, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Within this call, students of UFAGJ are invited to apply to the following Italian universities:

  • University of Messina – 1 mobility for studies (SMS)
  • University of Padua –    1 mobility for studies (SMS)

 

Application Conditions and Procedures

  • The applicant must be enrolled at UFAGJ at the time of application;
  • Applicants must be selected by the University;
  • After selection, applicants will be contacted by UNIMED, UFAGJ, and the host university;
  • The deadline for application at UFAGJ is April 24, 2026;
  • The deadline for submission of applications to UNIMED is May 12, 2026.

DOCUMENTATION

Application documents must be submitted in a single PDF file, in the following order, to the relevant contact address for the mobility you are applying for:

  • CV – Curriculum Vitae (maximum 4 pages);
  • Copy of passport (valid for travel and at least 3 months beyond the mobility return date);
  • Certificate proving knowledge of English and/or Italian, depending on the language of the destination country (minimum level B2);
  • Application form for the respective mobility type (Students – SMS);
  • Transcript of records including GPA and earned credits;
  • Certificate of enrollment at UFAGJ.

                               Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection process will be fair, transparent, and based on the principles of non-discrimination.

Selection for study mobility (SMS) will be based on the following criteria:

  • Grade Point Average (30 points);
  • Number of credits earned in relation to the current year of study (30 points);
  • Knowledge of English language (40 points).

Selected candidates will be contacted to define the required documentation and will receive further information regarding the mobility.

 

OBLIGATIONS OF THE BENEFICIARY

The selected participant undertakes to:

  • Respect deadlines set by the universities and UNIMED;
  • Prepare all required documentation within the indicated deadlines before, during, and after the mobility period;
  • Carry out the assigned activities during the mobility period;
  • Complete the full mobility period.

 

RIGHTS OF THE BENEFICIARY

The beneficiary also has the right to:

  • Receive adequate information and support before, during, and after the mobility;
  • Receive the mobility grant according to the defined schedule;
  • Have a tutor/mentor during the period abroad.
