University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, as a beneficiary partner of the BEWBU consortium, participates in the Kick-Off Meeting of the Project for Strengthening Blended Education in the Western Balkans

The University ‘’Fehmi Agani’’ in Gjakova, as a beneficiary partner, lately participated in the inaugurating meeting of the BEWBU project, held on the 22nd and 23rd January, 2025. This initiative aims the institutional capacity increase and the improvement of the pedagogical practices in higher education in all Western Balkans. The meeting, part of which was the Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Projects, Prof. Ass. Dr. Gentiana Muhaxhiri, and Prof. Ass. Dr. Elsa Vula, marked the initiation of this transforming project. UFAGJ, as a partner institution, is committed to integrating the models of Mixed Education (BE) in the University curriculums, initiation flexibility, inclusion and sustainability towards the future crisis.

The BEWBU project addresses directly the challenges with which regional universities faced during the pandemics COVID-19, where the fast approval of the online education happened without any sufficient pedagogical planning. The project aims to improve the effective integration of the digital tools with the pedagogical strategies, enabling the Universities to provide high quality mixed teaching. Through the cooperation between the universities in the entire Western Balkan, the project will promote the exchange of knowledge and the best practices, building a foundation for the future educational innovation.

Funded by the Executive European Agency of Education and Culture (EEAEC), according to the CBHE project call of the last year, BEWBU will support the development of the digital writing-reading and the pedagogical practices between the Professors, making sure that Universities in the Western Balkan will be more prepared for the requirements in the development of the digital era. With the participation of UFAGJ, this project will empower the students to make progress in the regional and European job markets. The initiating meeting opened the ways for the continuous cooperation and strategic planning towards the development of a flexible education system and proved for the future.
